It has been a very long, sucky, painful day, full of misunderstandings and hurts, some caused by me, to my regret and some inflicted on me. (Yay!! While I was working on this, someone did an amazing thing and was vulnerable and we’re repairing it. Great now I’m going to short out my keyboard!) So I am more grateful than I can say to come here to my blog to celebrate a very happy milestone for me, and hopefully for some of you. 
Tales of a Boundary Ninja is one year old today. This is my first blog and I was both excited and terrified putting up those first posts, not quite believing anyone would actually want to read what I had to say. But here I am a year later with an actual readership, including so many new friends. It’s been an amazing journey for me, full of growth and wonder, testing new wings, a place to process and a sanctuary to retreat to for support. So I want to say thank you to all of you who have read my posts, who have commented, who have clicked on the “Like” button, who have emailed me. You have been such an encouragement. And you’re coming alongside of me, especially through these recent dark days has just been amazing. (A special shout out to my friends, and you know who you are, who patiently put up with my obsessive stat reports. 
) One of the hardest lessons I had to learn in therapy was that relationships contained more than pain, they bring comfort and solace, they help us meet our needs, they bring us joy, they make life worth living, they help us to see beauty. You have all been a part of teaching me that and for that I thank you.
I have a small gift to all of you to celebrate the anniversary. I found a video from TWLOHA that embodies so much of what I am trying to say (and in so many fewer words you’ll be glad to hear! ) through this blog, this one is for all of you. For all of us. We all matter.
